LPQualified LPQ Requirements

Experienced loss prevention professionals know that maintaining and keeping a good name is vital to a career in the LP profession. Likewise, the LPF maintains the LPQualified (LPQ) name by establishing eligibility requirements which in turn protects the value and hard work of those who take the LPQ course or carry the LPQ credential.
The below requirements apply to LPQ course enrolees:
General Eligibility Requirements:

  • They must be free from pending criminal charges or convictions
  • Have less than 3 years experience in loss prevention
  • Be looking to enter loss prevention as a profession, but do not currently hold a LP role

Specific LPF Requirements:

  • They must uphold our code of ethics.
  • They do not share LPF course materials or LPF exam questions.
  • They use the LPQualified (LPQ) designation appropriately, such as using it only after successfully passing the exam.

*All international applicants must take the LPQ prep-course before taking the exam to gain their LPQ credential.
