Privacy Notice The Loss Prevention Foundation respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its Web site. The Foundation strongly believes that if online activities are to flourish, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, The Loss Prevention Foundation has implemented the following policy.

What Information Does The Loss Prevention Foundation Collect? Most data the Loss Prevention Foundation collects is used only to help us better serve our members. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify all users by e-mail or a special announcement.

From General Users. The Loss Prevention Foundation does not collect any personal information from users browsing its Web site. Only aggregate data -- such as the number of hits per page -- is collected. Aggregate data are only used for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.

From the Loss Prevention Foundation Members and Certification Customers. To gain access to members-only or certification coursework resources and personalization features on losspreventionfoundation.org, members and other users are asked to register and provide some limited information. This information is submitted voluntarily. The Loss Prevention Foundation asks users to provide their name, organization name, business phone and fax, and e-mail and some optional demographic data. Similar information may be submitted to the Loss Prevention Foundation through membership applications or certification registrations. This information is not sold or distributed in any other manner.

How Does The Loss Prevention Foundation Use Data Collected? The Loss Prevention Foundation uses information voluntarily submitted by members and other customers in the following ways:

The Loss Prevention Foundation Member Services and Products. Generally, the Loss Prevention Foundation uses data collected to improve its own web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services.

Disclosures to Third Parties. The Loss Prevention Foundation also makes member contact information available through the Loss Prevention Foundation’s Membership Directory to other members using its Web site. The Foundation does not provide data to third parties that offer products and services.

How Does The Loss Prevention Foundation Use Cookies? The Loss Prevention Foundation uses cookies only to store and track passwords.
